Example text: I founded Cornerstone with one mission – to help you discover your WHY for pursuing life and financial freedom. Once we define your why, we’ll construct a personalized, tactical plan to achieve it. Then, I’ll serve as your freedom coach to hold you accountable and as your guide to assist you as your life progresses over the coming years as you to achieve your dreams!

My why for financial freedom is simple – I want to spend as much time as possible creating and enjoying experiences with my family while making as much of a positive impact in this world as I possibly can.

I do that by being the best financial planner, coach, and fiduciary that I can be to help people reach their greatest potential as both a wealth-accumulator while concurrently being outrageously generous. I also do this by creating jobs and supporting local small businesses through my business ventures and intentionally looking for opportunities to generously help people in need. And I would love to help people do more of that!

Our own journey into financial independence brought us here. We were so fortunate to have done most of the right stuff; worked hard, got good educations, got good jobs, lived below our means, had a significantly high savings rate, lived debt-free, etc. but I had never considered doing anything other than working fulltime until I got involved in the financial independence community around 2015.

Then, on my second deployment to Afghanistan in 2019, I remember the moment that it hit me that we had to do something different. I was on a chinook helicopter flying from Kabul to the eastern part of the country while reading The Simple Path to Wealth by JL Collins, when it just hit me, “What the heck am I doing?!” At that time, my wife was pregnant with our son and back in Germany by herself, and I had just had my request denied to split my deployment with another PT so that I could make it home for the birth of our son. In that moment, something clicked and I knew that I had to do something different. Fortunately, we were already in a pretty good position to make such a transition. My goal is to help you get to and through that decision-point!
